Chapter 8

Joey and the rest of the horses moved forward for a few short moments. It was silent in no-mans land, unfortunateky the wire was still there that the troopers were told would be gone. 

They started to canter. They was still no sign of any intruders. Joey started to gallop to keep up with Topthorn. As they did this the bombs and machine guns started to fire, his fellow companies started to fall and cry as they slowly perished to their death. 

The bombs, where overwhelmingly loud. Yet trooper Warren held an iron grip on Joey. The horse then stumbled making trooper Warren loose one of his stirrups. 

The only reason Joey kept on going was becayse of his inspirational friend Topthorn. Joey followed Topthorn and jumped over the lowest place in the wire. 

Thousands of riderless horses cantered by Joey following his every move. They finally stop riding only to be crowded with germans...........
